Prime Minister Modi attacks the Congress.
In the midst of the surgical strike row, Prime Minister Modi attacks the Congress.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today accused the Congress of trivialising and demeaning the sacrifices of the soldiers killed in the Pathankot attack in 2016. Except for the Congress party, he claimed, the country was united in its response to the incident. "They interrogated the government, the Punjabi people, and even our troops. They dismissed the soldiers' sacrifices "he stated
Even on the anniversary of the 2019 terror incident in Pulwama, the PM remarked, the Congress was doing the same. "They continue their 'paap leela' even on the Pulwama anniversary," he claimed.
The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, on February 14, 2019, killing 40 CRPF soldiers.
The BJP has chastised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for raising concerns over the "surgical strike" carried out by Indian army in response to the Pulwama incident. In retaliation for the strike, Indian aeroplanes targeted the largest terrorist training centre of the JeM deep within Pakistan's Balakot.
PM Modi also accused the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party of being "partners in crime" in a scorching attack on opposition parties. He referred to the AAP as a "photocopy" of the Congress and claimed that they are both dissatisfied with the Ayodhya temple and everything the army does. "Don't tolerate these individuals," he told a roaring crowd at an election rally in Pathankot, Punjab, adding that "one party plundered Punjab and the other is corrupting Delhi."
PM Modi said that the AAP received backing from the Congress to form the government in Delhi. "Iss baar pakka parivartan, Punjab has decided. (It's undeniable that the time has changed.) "he stated According to the Prime Minister, the BJP views Punjab through the lens of "Punjabiyat," whilst his opponents only see the state through the lens of political power.
The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, which connects Pakistan to Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (the final resting place of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism), was also addressed by the PM. "In Pakistan, they (the Congress) abandoned the Kartarpur Gurudwara. Shouldn't they have tried to keep it in India? We could have had Gurunanak's birthplace in India in 1965 if they had tried "He claimed this while claiming credit for the corridor's development.
If the BJP-led alliance is elected to power in the state, PM Modi claims that farming, trade, and industry will be profitable in five years.
"Allow me five years to be of service to you. I guarantee that farming, trade, and industry will be profitable "he stated
On the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti, the Prime Minister arrived here to join the rally after giving prayers at the 'Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir' in Delhi's Karol Bagh.
"Sant Ravidas Jayanti is today. I sought blessings at Guru Ravidas Vishram Mandir (in Delhi) before going here "he stated
